Pride & Prejudice Pages
My senior year of college, I stopped at a tiny thrift store in middle-of-nowhere Atchison, KS, where I picked up an authentically vintage copy of one of my favorite books: Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Cutting it up was more painful than I could have expected, but sparked a series of ink sketches I now cherish.
My process is simple. I decide on a reference photo and a page from the book, carefully remove the page and draw a preliminary sketch on a separate piece of paper. I transfer a light outline of the sketch to the book page and then free draw the details using Micron art pens.
